Jason Kenney's government has launched an inquiry into who funds groups that criticize Alberta’s oil industry.
We'll save you some time, Premier. It's us.
Let Alberta Premier Kenney know who we are and why we donate and take action to stop the Trans Mountain Pipeline and fight the climate breakdown. If we get enough, we'll send them to his office.

I do not support the building of more pipelines.
I do not support using my tax dollars to build a pipeline.
I do not support your non-truths about foreign support for those protesting pipelines when, by far, the biggest amount of money and lobbying is done by the fossil fuel industry and related corporate interests.
I do not support your dictatorial views that the democratic right to protest and disagree with your agenda should be throttled.
I do not support your opinion that short term gain at the expense of the health of the planet trumps the long term pain of climate change run amok.
You are on the wrong side of history on this, and many other issues, and you will not win.
of the pudding is in your endless fires that are destroying Alberta. DO NO mess with
British Columbia too, bad enough you cannot govern and protect Alberta lands, leave us
out of your small minded plans you morally bankrupt man.
Yes, I am one of the many people opposed to the TMX pipeline. I’ve made a careful study of the issues, and I’m opposed for many reasons: carbon footprint, aboriginal rights, climate emergency, environmental risks to the land, air and water, and because the business case for this pipeline is so deeply flawed. I donate what I can to support this cause, like thousands of other ordinary Canadians, and I also volunteer my time because I am so deeply concerned about the future planet we are leaving for our children and grandchildren. I’m not a foreign funded radical; I’m a middle class retired person who would much rather be spending my time and money enjoying retirement after a lifetime of hard work, including raising fine children who are also contributing to the prosperity of this country. But my conscience won’t let me back away from this fight.
It deeply disturbs me to see politicians blindly doing the bidding of the fossil fuel companies, spreading lies and half truths, fomenting division between provinces, peoples, and families. Politicians are our employees; they should be promoting the welfare of citizens, not big corporations. In particular, I deplore the witch hunt being fomented right now against groups that criticize Alberta’s fossil fuel industry. It endangers our cherished rights of freedom of speech and assembly. And I find it especially galling to see pipeline opponents accused of being foreign-funded radicals when the fossil fuel companies operating our country are largely foreign owned. No one complains about all the foreign money they spend here on false advertising campaigns promoting their business!
That’s why I’m funding the fight against pipelines.
I am an Albertan that strongly opposes the Trans Mountain Pipeline and Tanker Project.
We have taken enough from this planet and the life it sustains which is not ours for the taking in the first place.
So many of us are waking up to that fact…why can’t you?
I meet many people that are truly wanting a clean, green and healthy solution that doesn’t take away from the planet and the life it sustains but allows us to give back for a change!
The whole oil and gas thing is old, repetitive, unhealthy, harmful and taxing on the environment. Put money towards projects that benefit “all of us” including the life we share this planet with!

I oppose expanding the Trans Mountain pipeline. I am a Canadian, living adjacent to the pipeline in rural BC. I find your confrontational attitude, your silly sound bites, and your complete denial of the relationship between fossil fuel extraction and climate change appalling. Global warming is ‘the’ existential issue for society. The science behind this is long-standing and irrefutable. As a well informed stakeholder, you must know this. To pretend otherwise is simply disingenuous.
Opposition to pipelines does not equate to an attack on Alberta. I deeply appreciate that the Alberta economy is intimately tied to fossil fuel extraction. It is truly unfortunate that many of my friends, relations, and fellow Canadians depend on that industry for their livelihood. An understanding and caring government would make transitioning to a green economy a priority. Unfortunately, industry captured politicians, like yourself, would rather stoke fear and feelings of persecution than do the difficult work of reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.
Opposition to expanding Trans Mountain is rooted in a deep love of our children. It springs from a concern for their future. Shame on you for questioning that commitment. I encourage you to examine your own motivations. Threatening your neighbors is infantile, threatening to break up Canada is seditious.
Pipeline expansion is not needed (or even viable) to assure economic security. Even as time runs out, leaders like yourself can set a better course. No serious person is suggesting we shut down the oilfields tomorrow. But, we all must face the facts. Climate change is a growing and dangerous threat. We cannot address that threat and expand our fossil fuel production. Please stop your misinformation campaign and reconsider what’s truly best for the future of Albertans and Canadians alike.

I don’t want the Trans Mountain pipeline and tanker project.
I oppose the continued breakneck expansion of the tar sands.
I want Canada to be on the path to a clean energy economy of the future, not the past.
I am not an enemy of the state. I am not the enemy of Alberta. Your kangaroo court is an affront to democracy and is a danger to Canada.
I donate money to environmental causes. I support First Nations lawsuits challenging fossil fuel infrastructure through their territory without their consent. I help fund lawsuits to protect the Southern Resident Killer Whales.
You don’t need to throw away millions of dollars of Alberta taxpayer money to find out who opposes Trans Mountain. I do.
If you think the trustworthy Chinese will buy Alberta oil, I have some waterfront property in the high Arctic to sell you.
