I tried this right after getting the email Saturday morning. The script disappeared when I clicked on the Connect button, which made this slightly less effective, I think, than if I’d had it in front of me. Also, the call first went to Jason Kenney’s office, which didn’t allow me to leave a message, and THEN to Sonia Savage’s office, where I was able to leave a message. I mention this in case anyone else has a similar experience — don’t give up after Kenney!

We still have a democracy and people care about the environment. Wait until Kenney is up for re-election… and the truth comes out. I don’t know how some politicians can stand themselves.

Hi, my name is Keith Maddock______.
I am calling for to express my disappointment at the anti-democratic and alarming comments made by Minister Sonya Savage about pushing Trans Mountain construction while there is a pandemic.
We won’t stand idly by while the Alberta government uses the pandemic for the benefit of polluters.
Spoke about my concerns for the Trans Mountain pipeline go ahead as I live directly effected in the Gulf Islands and have been fighting this pipeline for many years and see the direct threat on the Salish Sea and the Climate in general as reasons for it to be scrapped. A kind and courteous receptionist she said she would relay my message to premier Kenney.
